Creating Message Templates

Creating Message Templates

To start a chat with a customer who hasn't messaged you recently (past 24 hours), you must use a Message Template. These are pre-approved formats required by Meta to prevent spam.

Step 1: Choose a Base Template

EasyBiz provides a gallery of standard templates to help you get started quickly.

  1. Go to Settings > Templates.
  2. Click the WhatsApp card, then click + New Template.
  3. Browse the gallery (e.g., Order confirmation, Delivery rescheduled) and select one that matches your goal.
  4. Click Create.
warning:
Marketing content is strictly rejected by Meta. Ensure your template is designed for utility purposes, such as order updates or receipts.

Step 2: Customize the Message

Edit the content to fit your brand voice.

Header

  • Choose to display Text, an Image, a Document, or keep it as None at the top of your message.

Body

  • Type your main message.
  • To make it personal, type @ where a dropdown list will appear to insert dynamic variables like {Customer Name}} or {Order Number}.
tip:
Do not overuse variables, keep the message readable.
warning:
A message body cannot end with a variable. You must add at least one character or punctuation mark after the last variable.

Footer

  • Add a short, fixed text at the very bottom.
  • This is optional and cannot contain variables.

Buttons

  • Add up to 10 interactive buttons (e.g., Call Phone Number or Visit Website) to help customers take action quickly.

Step 3: Submission

When you're ready, click Submit. Meta typically reviews templates within minutes, though it can take up to 24 hours.
