Stop manually dispatching every job. Assignment Rules act as your automatic traffic controller, instantly linking specific orders to the right drivers or staff based on location, time, or business unit.

Why use Assignment Rules?
Without rules, you might have to manually look at every delivery order and decide which driver takes it. Assignment Rules automate this process based on logic you define:
- Geographic Specialization: Automatically assign "North Zone" orders to the driver who knows that area best.
- Shift Management: Ensure evening orders (e.g., 6 PM - 9 PM) are only routed to your night-shift staff.
How to Set Up an Assignment Rule

1. Navigate to Settings > Bookings

2. Click on the Assignment Rules card.

3. Click the + Add Assignment Rule button.

4. Configure the rule conditions:
- Business Unit: Select which branch this rule applies to.
- Applicable Days: Choose specific days (e.g., Mon-Fri).
- Assignment Time Range: Define a specific shift window (e.g., 09:00 - 12:00).
- Booking / Service Area: Select the geographic zone for this rule. If you haven't created these yet, they can be configured in the [Setting Up Service Areas] guide.
- Assign To: Select the specific Driver or Staff member who should receive these jobs.
You don't need to fill in every field. If you leave a condition (like Time Range, Business Unit and Service Areas) empty, the system treats it as "Any" or "All."

5. Click Add Rule to save.
If you only select a Driver and leave everything else blank, all incoming bookings will be assigned to that driver.
Managing Existing Rules

You can update your logic anytime as your team changes.
- On the Assignment Rules page, locate the rule you want to change.
- Click the three-dot menu (•••) on the right side of the row.
- Select an action:
- Edit: To change the driver, time, or area.
- Delete: To remove the rule permanently.
