Customer Notifications

Introduction to Customer Notifications

In this article

Customer Notifications are automatic messages EasyBiz sends to your customers when something important happens with their order, such as a confirmation, receipt, or delivery update. This article explains what they are, how they differ from internal notifications, and what you need before setting them up.

What are Customer Notifications?

Customer Notifications are automatic messages EasyBiz sends to your customers when a selected event happens. Instead of your staff remembering to message every customer by hand, a notification connects a business event to a prepared Email or WhatsApp template. When the event happens, EasyBiz sends that template to the customer linked to the order, payment, job, or record.

Example πŸ‘‰ : When an order is confirmed, EasyBiz can message the customer their invoice. When payment succeeds, it can send a receipt. When an order is ready for collection or a delivery is completed, the customer is told straight away, without anyone lifting a finger.
πŸ’‘ New to this? A Trigger Event is the specific moment in your shop that causes a message to send, such as an order being confirmed or a delivery being completed.

Customer notifications vs internal notifications

These two types serve different people. Knowing the difference helps you set up the right one.

Before you start

Make sure you have these ready before setting up a notification:

  • A customer with an email address or WhatsApp number
  • A published Email template, if sending by email
  • An approved WhatsApp template, if sending by WhatsApp.
  • A clear trigger event in mind, such as Sales order confirmed or Payment succeeded.

FAQ

Do I need every trigger?

No. Start with the 3 to 5 customer updates that matter most, then add more later.

What is the difference between a customer and an internal notification?

Customer Notifications go to your customers about their orders. Internal notifications go to your team about operational work. This section only covers Customer Notifications.

Do I need both Email and WhatsApp ready before I start?

No. You only need the channel you plan to use. If you are sending by WhatsApp, you need an approved WhatsApp template. If you are sending by email, you need a published Email template.
