Understanding Your Sales Report

In this article

The Sales Report is where you see the full picture of your business revenue. This guide walks you through every section of the report so you know exactly what each number means and how to use it.

Where to Find It

On the top navigation bar, click Reports and select Sales.

On the top navigation bar, click Reports and select Sales.

Filtering and Navigating Your Report

At the top of the report, you will find options to control what data you see:

  • Monthly / Yearly — Switch between a monthly view (one month at a time) or a yearly view (the full year at a glance). Use Monthly to check recent performance, and Yearly to spot bigger trends.
  • Month / Year selector — Use the left and right arrows to move between months or years.
  • Sales Channels — Filter your report to show data from a specific sales channel only (e.g., only in-store orders or only online orders). Leave it as "All Sales channels" to see everything combined.
Note: Only orders with a Confirmed or Fulfilled status are included in this report. Draft and Quoted orders are not counted as sales.

Sales Overview

At the top of the report, you will see four cards that give you a quick snapshot of your sales performance:

  • Net Sales — The total amount your business earned after discounts are deducted. This is your actual revenue.
  • Orders — The total number of orders placed during the selected period.
  • Avg Order Value — The average amount each customer spent per order. This is calculated by dividing your net sales by the number of orders.
  • Sales Returns — The number of orders that were refunded or returned.

Each card also shows a MoM (Month-over-Month) percentage, which tells you how this month compares to the previous month. A green arrow (▲) means an increase, and a red arrow (▼) means a decrease.

On the right side, you will see a breakdown of how your sales total is calculated:

  • Gross Sales — The total before any discounts are applied.
  • Discounts — The total amount of discounts given to customers. This is shown in red and subtracted from gross sales.
  • Net Sales — Gross Sales minus Discounts. This is your actual revenue.
  • Tax — The total tax collected on all orders.
  • Rounding — Small rounding adjustments applied to totals.
  • Total — The final amount including tax and rounding.

Daily Trend

The bar chart below the key numbers shows your sales for each day of the month. This helps you spot patterns — for example, if weekends are busier than weekdays, or if a specific promotion caused a spike in sales.

Sales by Business

This table shows how much revenue each of your business units is generating. If you operate from multiple locations or branches, this helps you compare their performance side by side.

  • Business — The name of your business unit or branch.
  • Net Sales — The total revenue earned by that business after discounts.
  • Tax — The total tax collected by that business.
  • Total — The combined amount including net sales and tax.
  • Orders — The total number of orders placed at that business.
  • Avg Order — The average amount per order, calculated by dividing the total by the number of orders.
  • Share % — How much of your overall sales this business makes up.

Sales by Lead Source

This table shows where your orders are coming from. A lead source is the channel through which a customer placed their order — for example, "Direct" means the order was created directly in the system (e.g., walk-in or over the counter), while other sources could include WhatsApp, Online Store, or any other connected channel.

  • Source — The channel the order came from.
  • Net Sales — The total revenue from that channel after discounts.
  • Tax — The total tax collected from orders through that channel.
  • Total — The combined amount including net sales and tax.
  • Orders — The total number of orders from that channel.
  • Avg Order — The average amount per order from that channel.
  • Share % — How much of your overall sales this channel makes up.

Net Sales by Product / Service Option

This table shows you which products or services are bringing in the most revenue. You can switch between two views:

  • Product — See each product's net sales, quantity sold, average price, and share percentage.
  • Service Option — See the same breakdown but grouped by service option instead.

Each row shows:

  • Service / Product — The name of the product or service that was sold.
  • Net Sales — The total revenue earned from that product or service after discounts.
  • Qty — The total number of items sold for that product or service.
  • Avg Price — The average price per item, calculated by dividing the net sales by the quantity sold.
  • Share % — How much of your total sales this product or service makes up. This helps you quickly see which ones are your biggest earners.

Sales Returns

At the bottom of the report, you will see a list of any refunded or returned orders. Each entry shows the order number, date, business unit, and the refund amount (shown in red). Use this to keep track of how often returns happen and how much they cost your business.
